CA POST Certified #1436-32082 – Concealed Carry Tactics Instructor Course

The Concealed Carry Tactics Instructor Course was developed by Primal Response Training Group as a comprehensive training program for law enforcement professionals. This course is specifically designed to enhance concealed carry proficiency in a variety of operational roles, including:

• Plainclothes assignments
• Undercover operations
• Off-duty carry

Course Overview

Duration: 2 consecutive days (16 hours total)
Format: Classroom instruction + live-fire training

Our curriculum is intentionally designed to expose and correct overlooked deficiencies in concealed carry deployment—both in technique and gear selection.

Participants will engage in progressive, live-fire drills using skill sheets to track development in key areas such as:

• Efficient and effective draw strokes from concealment

• Reloading under pressure

• Movement and positional shooting

• Multiple shot sequences

• Target transitions and tracking

• Speed and accuracy under realistic conditions

Each drill provides ample repetition and instructor feedback to refine and reinforce skill sets critical for real-world concealed carry scenarios.

Required Equipment

• Concealed carry handgun
• Rigid, belt-mounted holster (No ankle, shoulder, or non-beltline holsters permitted. Worn-out or collapsing holsters are not allowed. Kydex holsters are preferred.
• At least 3 magazine.
• Eye and ear protection.
• 750+ rounds of practice ammunition
• 50+ rounds of duty ammunition

Recommended (Not Required)

• Routine gun care/cleaning kit
• Sunscreen
• Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK)
